Rhonda Jean Ward of Elba, Alabama passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022.  She was 64.                   

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Ino Baptist Church in Kinston with Reverend Garry Winstead officiating.  Burial will follow at the Ino Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continue until time of service.  

Rhonda was born on February 20, 1958 to the late R. L. and Wilma Lee Hayes Preachers.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her infant brother, Emmett Lee Preachers, and her sister, Betty Joyce Farris.  Rhonda was a member of Ino Baptist Church for over 40 years where she rocked babies in the nursery for over 30 years.  She loved her family and always put them first. 

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Kenneth Ward; sons, Kenneth Jason Ward (Valerie) of Arlington, Tennessee, and Christopher Wade Ward (Robbin) of Calera, Alabama; siblings, Ruth Hudson (Travis) of Chiefland, Florida, Jimmie Sue Simpler of Crestview, Florida, Robert Preachers of Enterprise, Lomax Preachers (Debra) of Samson, Deborah Ann Smith of Samson, and Randall Preachers of Enterprise; and grandchildren, Jack, Trent, Kara, Sam, Lily, and Lila.
