Ricky Ivey age 64 of Ozark passed away at his residence Thursday, December 14, 2023 surrounded by his family.  Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 29, 2023, 5:30 p.m. at Faith Christian Center (853 Lakeview Ave Ozark, Alabama 36360).  All flowers will need to be sent to the Church. 

 

Ricky was born April 14, 1959 to JD Lewis Ivey and Lillie Ann Roberts Ivey.  He worked as an Operations Supervisor at Southeast Alabama Solid Waste before having to retire due to his health declining.  He enjoyed flying Aerolite airplanes, building remote control airplanes and flying them, watching Alabama football and spending time with his wife and family. 

 

He is preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Ryan Everhart.

 

Survivors include his wife of 9 ½ years, Dawn Unger Ivey; sons Ricky D. Ivey, Thomas McInerney (Lindsey); daughters Nikki Ivey Chestnut (Lee), Nicole Everhart (Daniel), Rachel Muncher (Elijah); grandchildren Emma Grantham, Brantley Kelley, Allie Kelley, Jade Casteel, Kelsey Kelley, Landon Ivey, Josh Garrett, Bryson Enfinger, Colt Garrett, Cash Garrett, Jolie McInerney, Adelynn Everhart, Maggie McInerney, Cooper Ivey, Ezekiel Ivey, Layton Ivey; brothers David Ivey (Janet), Jimmy Ivey (Tamara), Michael Ivey; sisters Brenda Ivey, Margie Day (Ben), Freda Welch (Tony); as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
