Ricky L. Catrett age 65, passed away on September 10, 2020, at his home in Brantley, Alabama. In accordance with his wishes, disposition will be by cremation, with a memorial service to be held at a later date.


He was predeceased in death by his parents, James P. Catrett and Remona Adams Catrett; his paternal grandparents, James T. Catrett and Odis Betterton Catrett; his maternal grandparents, J. C. Adams and Cassie Hall Adams; and his brother-in-law, Martin John Campbell.


He is survived by his only child, Niki Linton, and his grandson, Colton Patch of Samson; his brother, Perry Catrett and Ashley Oglesby Catrett of Luverne; and his sister, Pamela Catrett Campbell of Brantley. He also leaves behind four nieces, Hollie Worley Reed (Charles) Montgomery; Courtney Rebekah Nelson of Athens, GA: Cassidy Catrett, and Cameron Catrett, both of Luverne; along with three grandnephews, James Campbell Nelson, Charles Ludlow Nelson, and John Adams Reed.


Ricky attended Enterprise State Community College after graduating from Brantley High in 1973. He went on to work at Fort Rucker landing fields for many years, then worked as a truck driver later in life. Ricky was a great reader and lover of books. He had the utmost respect for veterans and their service for his country. He particularly loved helicopters and planes. He was a die-hard Crimson Tide and Dale Earnhardt fan. He loved art and photography, and was the person who always remembered the details: your birthday, your favorite color, and your favorite food.
