COLQUITT, GEORGIA. . .Ricky Lee “Rebel” Sanders, a resident of Colquitt, Georgia, formerly of Ozark and Panama City, died Sunday morning, August 13, 2023, in the Miller Nursing Home, in Colquitt. He was 58.

            Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 26, 2023, in the Emmaus Methodist Church with Reverend Jack Hankins officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M Saturday at Emmaus Methodist Church, 1206 Highway 2297, Panama City, FL 32404. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            Ricky Sanders was born in Ozark and was reared in Ozark and Panama City. He lived in Panama City most of his lifetime where he was formerly employed by a tile company. Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Roy Lee Sanders, two brothers, Anthony LaDon Sanders and Casey Aaron Sanders, and his step-father, James Tinney.

            Surviving relatives include two sons, Austin King (Sanders), Panama City, FL; and Dustin Sanders, Panama City Beach, FL; his mother, Sylvia Kirkland Tinney (Walter), Midland City; a sister, Sheila Taylor (Brynn Pearis), Bayou George, FL; sister-in-law, Leila Sanders, Chipley, FL; nieces, Leah Robinson (Chris), Shyann and Allie Coral, Rhiannon Sanders (Canon), and Azelette Sanders; extended family, Richie Cameron and family; and Ricky’s best friend Warren Hemming.
