Robert Anthony “Mink” Blackmon, a resident of Ozark passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Flowers Hospital. He was 42.


Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, December 20, 2019 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.


Mink was born on May 17, 1977 in Barbour County and lived the early years of his life there. He was an avid Alabama fan and enjoyed watching wrestling. Mink was a very smart student and studied in Louisville where he graduated in 1995. He worked with A-1 Manufacturing and later with Hardee’s and Carter’s Brothers. Mink loved his K-9 companion, Roscoe.


He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Holly Maulden Blackmon; his son, Robert A. Blackmon, Jr.; his daughter, Hailey Blackmon; his father, Willie R. (Alice) Blackmon; his mother, Guster Blackmon; his brother, Tyrone (Naimah) Williams; his sister, Whitney Blackmon; a host of nieces and nephews; a special aunt, Maggie Hull.
