Robert Earl Blalock, 92, of Black, AL passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 after an extended illness.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday, February 27, 2015 at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Geneva with Reverend Jerry McAdams and Chaplain Chris Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Home Freewill Baptist Church in the Thurston community. Visitation will be prior to the service (11am-1pm) on Friday at the funeral home in Geneva.

 

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice.

 

Mr. Blalock was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Columbus Blalock on November 24, 1922.

 

Surviving relatives include his wife of 63 years, Lorene Carswell Blalock; three daughters, Barbara Wilkerson of Black, AL., Marianne Whitman (Robert) of Tuscaloosa, AL., Libby Cartwright (Ray) of Geneva, AL; one son, Chris Blalock (Dawn) of Pensacola, FL. Survivors also include ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
