Robert Michael “ Mike” Langford, age 71, of Midland City, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. Mike was born August 17, 1949 in Ariton, Alabama to the late James R. and Myrtle Ruth Langford.



Mike served 2 years in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, Mike worked for and ultimately retired from CSX Transportation in Dothan and Montgomery, AL for 45 years. Mike was a member of Dothan First Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather .

Mike is survived by his wife, Anamie Langford of Midland City, AL; daughter Kim (Mike) Castleberry of Clanton, AL; son Jeremy (Nicole) Langford of Dothan, AL; son Ven Langford of Midland City, AL; brother Darrell Langford of Newton, AL; sister Linda Kay Barrett of Newton, AL; grandchildren Cameron, Cain, Colton Castleberry),Davis and Sofia Langford, great granddaughter Emrie Castleberry; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.



Per Mike’s request, his body has been donated to the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) in Dothan, AL.



A memorial celebration for Mike’s life will be held at his home:
4943 East Hwy 134
Midland City, Alabama
Saturday March 27 @ 2:00 PM
