HEADLAND. . .Roger Dale Morris, a resident of Headland, died early Tuesday morning, January 2, 2024, at his home. He was 66.

A memorial visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, January 7, 2024, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel.

            Roger Morris was born in Savannah, Georgia and was raised in Hardeeville, South Carolina. He had lived in Headland since 2004. Roger was retired from the City of Headland as Animal Control Officer and also as a Crossing Guard for the Headland Police Department.  He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Alex Morris, Sr. and his mother, Miriam Z. Harvey.

            Surviving relatives include his wife, Kelly Wilson Morris, a daughter, Lacey “Leo” Morris, Dothan; and a step-son, Justin Wayne Davis of Kentucky; siblings, Dorothy Morris, Hardeeville, SC and Tommi Morris (Sheryl), Battle Creek, Michigan; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
