Roger David Powell of Geneva passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 in a Dothan Hospital. He was 68 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva with Minister Douglas Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Mr. Powell was born October 11, 1950 to the late M.J. and Mildred Hanks Powell. Mr. Powell retired as a Sergeant from the Army Reserve National Guard. He also retired from Ft. Rucker after 32 years as an aircraft mechanic. He enjoyed spending time at Lake Eufaula fishing with his wife, Isabelita.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Powell.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Isabelita Powell of Geneva; two sisters, Carol Powell of Geneva, and Sharon Powell Umbarger of Pigeon Forge, TN; two nieces, Amber Taylor Norsworthy of Geneva, and Beverly Morrow of Pigeon Forge, TN.
