Ronald Eugene “Gene” Jackson

 

Gene Jackson, age 94 of Dothan, Alabama passed away Sunday afternoon, February 6, 2022 at his residence under the care of Kindred Hospice. 

Per family wishes, a direct cremation will be provided with a family gathering at a later time. 

Gene was born April 18, 1927 to Marcus Bright Jackson and Julia McCloud Jackson in Shellman, Georgia.  After graduation from Luverne High School, he enlisted in the Navy at the end of WWII.  He was a member of Blue Lake Emmaus Group.  He was a member of Cloverdale Methodist Church.  He was married to Martha Jackson for 74 years before her passing.  Gene also enjoyed woodworking. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jackson; parents Marcus & Julia Jackson; brothers Harlan Jackson, John Mark Jackson; sister Agnes Jackson.   

Gene is survived by a son Phil Jackson (Lynda).
