Mr. Ronald Lee Elmore, Sr. of Geneva passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019. He was 76 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Reggie McAllister officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Masonic Rites and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday night from 6 until 8 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.

Mr. Elmore was born on September 10, 1942 to the late Clarence Vendor and Vertie Lee Corbitt Elmore. Ronald came to Geneva with Geneva Loan Company and later was an agent with Independent Life Insurance Company. He became the owner of Elmore Citgo in 1985 and raised his family working in the business for 18 years. He enjoyed helping people and building was his gift, which he often did for others. He was a member of the Geneva Masonic Lodge #129, where he recently received his 50 year pin.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Elmore Enos.

He is survived by his children, Julie Elmore Whittle, Ronald Lee Elmore, Jr. (Denise) and Wesley Andrew Elmore (Christy) all of Geneva, Clarence Faye Elmore of Elba, Jeffrey Wallace (Samantha), Chasidy Wallace and Harley Baldwin (Tyrone) all of Geneva; grandchildren, Ronna Jenkins Gillis(Mitch), Tabitha and Marisa Jenkins, Ronald Lee Elmore, III (Danna), Alex Post, Andrew, Ava, Jase and Joslyn Elmore, Landon Elmore Anzlie Wallace, Sydney and Joley Kilpatrick, Aveionnah and Aveion Baldwin, great-grandchildren, Madison, Myles, and Madden Gillis, Kamdyn O’Neal, Omari and Orlandin Marks, brothers and sister, Vendor Lamar Elmore of Geneva, Doyle Wayne Elmore of Lafayette, LA and Connie Cooper of Noma, FL.
