MIDLAND CITY…Ronald Lee Shannon, a resident of Midland City, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 24, 2021, in Southeast Health at the age of 69.

   Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 28, 2021, in the Midland City Cemetery with Pastor Doug MacCormack officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Baptist Church, 2574 Westgate Parkway, Dothan, AL 36303.

   Ronald was a native of East St. Louis, Illinois, son of the late Burnis  Shannon and Velma Shannon. He resided in Orlando, Florida where he was employed as a Bus Driver for 17 years with the Florida School System. Ronald lived in Dothan before moving to the Sylvan Grove Community in 2004. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Dothan.

   Surviving relatives include his wife, Suzanne Hawkins Shannon; two daughters, Tresa Green (David) and Sarah Moore; three sons, David Shannon, James Shannon and James Andrews; his sister, Debbie Shannon; ten grandchildren and one great-grandson.
