RONALD M. BOWEN


PINCKARD, AL… Ronald M. Bowen, a resident of Pinckard, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at a Dothan Hospital. He was 68.


            Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Pinckard City Cemetery with Reverend Joey Hudsbeth officiating. Covid-19 protocols will be strictly adhered to. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.


            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Humane Society, 255 Jerry Drive Kinsey, Alabama – 36303, www.wiregrasshumanesociety.com.


            Mr. Bowen was born in Phenix City, Alabama to the late Robert Jackson Bowen and Mae Vernette Long Bowen. Shortly after birth, his family moved to Newville, Alabama where he lived his entire childhood. He was a graduate of Abbeville High School. For the past thirty-plus years, he’s lived in Pinckard, Alabama. Ronald attended Living Church of God. He retired from Dale County Board of Education as a school bus driver. Mr. Bowen spent his pastime caring for the animals he loved so dearly.


            Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Earl Bowen.


            Leaving to cherish his memories is his Aunt Martha Skipper; his nieces Angie Taylor (Scotty) and Carol Rogers (Alun); his nephew Frankie Bowen (Gloria); a great niece Addison Rogers; a great nephew Jackson Bowen; his cousin Chris Bowen (Gloria); and his good friend Dean Oldham (Michelle)
