Date of Service: Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, February 20, 2020 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Elliott and Hugh Kirkland officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5-7 pm.

Ronald “Moe” Davis, Sr., of Headland passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020. He was 67.


Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, February 20, 2020 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Elliott and Hugh Kirkland officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5-7 pm.


Mr. Davis was born on February 17, 1952 in Hannibal, MO and lived the early years of his life there. He served in the US Army. He is a retired truck driver and mechanic of 34 years from AAA Cooper.


Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his father, Donald Davis, Sr. and by his mother, Marjorie Hartgrove Davis, and by his son, Ronald Dean Davis, Jr.


Surivors include his wife of 40 years, Beulah Davis; his brother, Daniel Hartgrove, Ozark; his 2 daughters, Sandra Gaier and Susan Knight, both of Midland City; his 3 granddaughters, Jeana (John) Breuer, Midland City, Tonya Spivey (Lenoard Javon Scott), Opelika, and Keisha Glover, Headland; his 2 grandsons, Tony (Autumn Hudson) Spivey, Jr., Slocomb and Toby Spivey, Midland City; his 3 great grandchildren, Jr. , Kenleigh, and Natalie; his brothers, Tony (Betty) Davis, Ashford, Tommy Davis, Dothan; his sisters, Patty Davis, Dothan, and Marjorie Davis, Dothan; a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; a special pet (fur baby), Casper; and his 2 special friends, Norman White, Headland, and Sheila Brown, Troy.



Serving as active pallbearers will be, Tony Spivey, Jr., Toby Spivey, Tim Windham, Mark Key, J.R. Chandler, and Chad Cunningham.
