ABBEVILLE, ALABAMA. . .Ronnie Harold Newburn, a resident of Abbeville, died Sunday morning, March 24, 2024, in Millbrook, Alabama. He was 65.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend George Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Abbeville.

            Ronnie Newburn was born and reared in Citronelle, Alabama. He lived in Citronelle and Atmore, Alabama most of his lifetime before moving to the Lawrenceville Community of Henry County in 2022. Ronnie was formerly employed as a Barber. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Joseph Newburn, his mother, Ruby Lee Stevens Womack, his step-father, Murel Womack and his brothers, Steve Newburn and Terry Lee Newburn.

            Surviving relatives include his wife, Laura Cochran Newburn, Abbeville; a son, Jeremy Newburn, Gautier, MS; step-children, Samantha Barnes, Enterprise; and Wyatt Evans (Jasmine), Abbeville; a sister, Alice Douglas (John), Gautier, MS; a brother, Mack Newburn (Mary Ann), Marvella, MS; his step-mother, Jewell Newburn, Citronelle, AL; grandchildren, Kassie Newburn, Kyle Newburn and Colin Newburn; step-grandchildren, Sadie Barnes, Eli Barnes, Evelyn Evans and Daniel Evans; four great-grandchildren; a sister in law, Lisa Wood (Jason), and a brother-in-law, Johnny Cochran, Jr. (Sharla); several nieces and nephews.
