ROSE NELSON

ABBEVILLE, AL… Rose Nelson, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, passed away Sunday morning, October 17, 2021, at her home. She was 76.

            Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Abbeville Memorial Church of God in Christ, with Elder Vincent Brown officiating. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

            Ms. Nelson was born to the late Theo Nelson and Veloe Dennis Nelson. She lived her entire life in the Abbeville area. In her earlier years, she worked as a nursing assistant in Home Health Care and at the Henry County Hospital. She was a member of the Abbeville Memorial Church of God in Christ.

            Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Juanita Nelson, Jimmy Nelson,  and Monroe Hogan; her niece, Johnnie Ruth Beck.

            Leaving to cherish her memories is her nephew, Cornelius Nelson; great nieces and nephews; Joshua Carlton Beck (Christina Skipper), Zavion Cornelius Nelson, Roosevelt Beck III, Zyeria Nelson, Jayden Nelson, and Natasha Nelson; great-great-nieces and nephews, Paiton Beck, Jayceon Beck, and Za”Kyah W.; her sister, Alice Hogan; her cousin, Antonio “Rabbit” Dennis; her caregivers, Mickey & Debra Baker.
