Russell David Burns, 72, a resident of Headland, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at his residence.

Russell was born September 29, 1951, to the late David William Jr. and Anna Louise Naef Burns in Mobile, Alabama. He spent the early years of his life in Mobile and was a 1969 graduate of Murphy High School. Russell later moved to Headland, where he began working at Farley Nuclear Plant as a Warehouseman, retiring in 2009. He was of Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his son, Kyle Burns (Stephanie) of Fernandina Beach, FL; daughter, Lindsey Little of Spanish Fort, AL; four grandchildren, Jacob, Charlotte, Dash, and Caleb; and several close friends.

Per his wishes, no services will be held at this time.
