RUTH ANN SMITH

 

Ruth Ann Smith, a lifetime resident of Dothan, AL passed away August 3, 2021. She was 79.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 5, 2021 @ 11 in the Family First Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 also at Family First Funeral Care.  The family requests that everyone attending the service to please wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St, Jude’s Children Hospital. 

 Ann was a wonderful wife, mother, and nana.  She was a very simple person and she did not long for worldly materials.  She most valued love by her late husband and family.  She had a strong Christian faith, and she was an avid supporter of Billy Graham Ministries and St. Jude’s Children Hospital.  She took great pride in her home and loved being a home-maker.  She was called home to be with her lord and savior and the love of her life, Leo, on her birthday for the biggest celebration of her life.  

Ann is preceded in death by her husband of forty five years Leo Smith, as well as her parents, George Millard Glass and Nancy Emma Brown Glass.  She is survived by a son Michael "Paul" Brannon (Peggy), a daughter Tina Miller (Larry), a granddaughter Elisabeth Hoole (Jonathan).   She will be loved and missed dearly.
