Mr. Samuel Lee Mansfield, Jr., age 77, of Cowarts passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014.

Born September 4, 1937 in Arlington, GA to the late Samuel Lee and Ruby Sauls Mansfield, Mr. Mansfield served his country in the United States Navy. He was also an avid golfer who loved Alabama football.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Skippy.

Survivors include his wife, Robbie Watson Mansfield; his children, Bobby (Denise) Hider, Karen (Jim) Oxendine, Todd (Lulu) Mansfield, Lee Mansfield, and Tammy Mansfield; his grandchildren, Tamara, Maegan, Danielle, Summer, and Adam; and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1 PM CST (2 PM EST), Monday, November 3, 2014 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Arlington, GA with Brother Ricky L. Martin officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM CST Monday, November 3, 2014 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, P. O. Box 1893, Memphis, TN  38101-9950.
