SANDRA LEE TAYLOR


ABBEVILLE.…Sandra Lee Taylor, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, passed away Saturday evening, January 9, 2021, at a Dothan hospital. She was 68.


            Private graveside services will be held at Union Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Judd Waldrop officiating.  Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is handling the arrangements.


            In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Children’s Program, or to the Union Springs Baptist Church.


            Mrs. Taylor was born in Ft. Gaines, Georgia, to the late A.W. Herndon and Betty Braddy Herndon. She lived most of her life in Abbeville, Alabama. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Abbeville.


            Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rhett Taylor.


            Leaving to cherish her memories are her sons, Chris Whiddon (Megan) of Greeley, CO, Joshua Taylor (Heather) of Abbeville, AL, and Jonathan Taylor (Christi) of Abbeville, AL; her sisters, Sherri Herndon Beckworth (Mark) of Headland, AL, Susan Herndon Hall (Greg) of Panama City, FL; her brother, Wiley Herndon of Abbeville; her sister-in-law, Jackie Taylor Scott (Dwayne) of Newville, AL; her six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
