COLUMBIA…Sandra Maddox “Sandy” Edmondson, a resident of Columbia, died Wednesday night, September 8, 2021, at her home. She was 47.

   Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 12, 2021, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Vann Cooley officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday in the mortuary chapel.

   Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.

   Sandy Edmondson was born and reared in Slocomb, daughter of the late James Earl Maddox and Charlotte McCord Maddox. She later moved to Columbia as a teenager. Sandy is a member of the First Baptist Church of Columbia.

   Surviving relatives include her husband, James Derek Edmondson; three daughters, Kendra Noblitt (Paul), Jamie Houser (Seth) and Anna Edmondson (Roosevelt Walker) and a son, Dylan Edmondson, all of Columbia; two sisters, Tammy Clark and Tabitha Burger, both of Columbia; two grandchildren, Nicholas Houser and Laweah Walker; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Denise Gingles (Terry), her father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Faith Edmondson, all of Columbia.
