DOTHAN. . .Sandra Pilcher Windham, a resident of Dothan, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at her home. She was 84.

            Funeral service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, January 25, 2024, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Kevin Krist officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinckard Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 P.M. Thursday at the mortuary in Headland.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wiregrass Humane Society, P.O. 1045, Dothan, AL.  36302.

            Mrs. Windham was born and reared in Pinckard, daughter of the late Espy Elmer Pilcher, Sr. and Hattie Pearl Woodham Pilcher. She was a 1958 graduate of Midland City High School and attended Riley Business College. Mrs. Windham was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a former member of Lafayette Street United Methodist Church where she taught the Children’s Sunday Class for many years. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Adams Howell and Helen Gissendanner and two brothers, Espy Elmer Pilcher, Jr. and Joe Harold Pilcher.

            Surviving relatives include her husband, Sterling Windham, a daughter, Wendy Windham, Dothan; a son, Keith Windham (Erica), Auburn, AL; a sister, Evelyn King, Dothan; a sister-in-law, Jackie Windham, Echo Community; three grandchildren, Mallory Harper, Kate Windham Ritter (Michael), and Camden Windham; several nieces and nephews.
