Mr. Santiago Frank Perez of Geneva, Alabama passed away Monday, January 9,2023.  He was 85.

Funeral services will be at 1;00 p.m., Saturday, January 14,2023 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, with Judah Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Geneva City Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 12;00 p.m.

Mr. Perez was born December 30,1937, in Cienfuegos, Cuba to the late Roman and Tomasa Castaneda Perez.  He was a wonderful Husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His parents and siblings relocated to the United States and settled in Florida.  Having lived in Hialeah, Clermont and then located to Geneva, Alabama in 2004, where he lived until his death.  Mr. Perez owned several businesses and was a custom cabinet marker.   He was a devoted servant of the congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses… and even learned how to use a computer at the ripe age of 76. He loved music and to dance, fishing, reading, learned to play the bongo, woodworking, riding motorcycles, traveling to Pigeon Forge, Tn every year and the beach.

He was a member of the Geneva Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness and member of the Kingdom Hall for 63 years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Willa Mae Perez.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Perez, Geneva; eight children: Michael R. Perez, Suzanne B. Perez, Stephen W. Perez, Margaret Lynn Kirkland, Sylvia E. Winslow, Joshua E. Perez (Amanda), Karen Lunsford and Bubber D. Coon; grandchildren; Paul, Chelsie, Tayler, Mariah, Tyler, Zackary, Celina, Tiffany, Devin, Dawjr, and Andrew;18 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
