Sara Miller, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 at a local hospital. She was 83.

Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-3 pm.

Mrs. Miller was born on August 15, 1935 in Bullock County and lived the early years of her life there. She resided in Ozark prior to moving to Dothan. Mrs. Miller loved to go deep sea fishing in Destin, Florida with her late husband, Dale. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and worked with United Insurance Company of America for 20 years until her retirement. She was a wonderful cook and loved to share meals with her family. Mrs. Miller was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husbands, Joe Mack Beaty and Dale V. Miller and by her daughter, Connie Adams.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa (Berry) Coleman; her grandchildren, Justin Adams, Adrienne (Jarett) Maddox, and Allison Coleman; her great-grandchildren, Hardy and Abigail Maddox; her sisters, Ann Lambert and Nell Elert; and several nieces and nephews.
