SARA WILSON PARKER


KINSEY, AL… Sara Wilson Parker, a resident of Kinsey, Alabama, passed away Tuesday morning, October 18, 2022, at her home. She was 87.


Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Reverend Sam White Officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday at Wright Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel from 1:00 to 1:45 P.M. prior to the service.


Ms. Parker was born December 09, 1934 in Slocomb, Alabama to the late Duncan “Dunk” Wilson and Clara Davis Wilson. She attended Dothan High School. After high school, she received training at Moody Hospital and became a nurse. She worked and retired from Flowers Hospital after many years of service. She enjoyed serving her Lord, from her sunporch.


In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Parker; a daughter, Cindy Parker; a granddaughter, Alexis Howell; and one sister.


Surviving relatives include her daughters, Camille Parker Lawrence and Tami Parker Howell (David); a son, Stanley Parker (Rene’); six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her faithful K-9 companion, John Henry; and a host of other friends, family members and loved ones.


Serving as active pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
