OZARK…. Sarah Carr Sitz, a resident of Ozark, died Saturday morning, September 29, 2018 in a Dothan hospital. She was 67.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, October 6, 2018 in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel with Pastor William Irwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Post Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

            Mrs. Sitz, daughter of the late William Lawrence Carr, Sr. and Minnie Lee Gilley Carr, was a native and lifelong resident of Ozark. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her children and extended family. Mrs. Sitz was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by four brothers, John Wayne Carr, Lawrence Carr, Jr., Bobby Joe Carr and Jimmy Lee Carr.      

            Surviving relatives include five children, Eric Duncan (Stacey), Harold Duncan (Barbara), all of Prattville; Janice Ross (Adrian), Lynchburg, TN; Shawn Smith (Lynn), Dallas, TX and Curtis Strickland (Brenda), Ozark; her sister, Dianne C. Williams, Ozark; brother, Danny Ray Carr (Becky), Columbia; twenty grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Hunter Ross, Cody Duncan, Kevin Duncan, Logan Boswell, Steven Boswell, and Doug Scroggins.
