HEADLAND…Sarah Condrey Hodges, a resident of Ozark, formerly of Headland, died Monday, August 31, 2020, in a Dothan hospital. She was 74.

     Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 3, 2020, in the Pleasant Plains Baptist Cemetery, between Headland and Columbia, with Reverend Jerome Harbert officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. Social distancing guidelines and masks will be observed.

     In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the family to assist with funeral expenses.

     Mrs. Hodges was born and reared in Headland & Abbeville, daughter of the late Herbert Condrey and Nora Kirkland Condrey. She was formerly employed as a Bookkeeper at Headland Auto Parts, E & W Building Materials and Best Western Motel in Dothan. Mrs. Hodges was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. She lived in Headland most of her lifetime before moving to Ozark. Mrs. Hodges was preceded in death by two sisters, Sally Allen and Imogene Matthews.

     Surviving relatives include a son, Walter Hugh Hodges (Alice), Headland; a sister, Christine York (Alton), Headland; three brothers, Ed Kirkland (Mary), Sam Condrey (Jewell) and Kenneth Condrey; three grandchildren, Matthew Hodges (Leah), Brittany Adams (Brandon) and Brianna Daniels; nine great-grandchildren.
