Sharon “Retta” Fellows, a resident of Ashford, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at her residence. She was 73 years old.
The family will receive friends at Ashford City Cemetery on Saturday from 10:30 – 11 am. Graveside services will follow at 11 am on Saturday, February 19, 2022 with Rev. David Baker officiating. The family has requested no flowers for her services.
Mrs. Fellows was born on July 10, 1948 in Donaldsonville, Georgia and was a graduate of Donalsonville High School. She received her Real Estate License and was employed with the State of Alabama Welcome Center for 30 years until her retirement. Mrs. Fellows was an outstanding basketball player at Donalsonville High School where her team made it to the State Championship.
Mrs. Fellows was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Maggy Maurice Cross and by her brother, Billy Cross.
Survivors include her husband, Matt Fellows; her daughter, Pam Hall; her grandson, Seth Martin; her brothers, Terry Cross and Wiley Cross; her sister, Meritta Hughes; and several nieces and nephews.
