Shaylyn Grace Marsh

 

Shaylyn Grace Marsh, gained her angel wings Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at GHSU Children’s Hospital in Augusta, GA. Shaylyn was born September 17, 2010. She was the 21 month old daughter of Shanda Marsh of Brooklet, GA, formerly of Dothan.

 

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Pinckard Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Donald Clark officiating and Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Georgia Health Sciences University, PICU Unit in honor of Shaylyn Marsh, Atten, Catherine Stewart, 1446 Harper Street, Augusta, GA 30912.

 

She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, James Troy McWhorter, James Byron Marsh, Elmer and Helen Andrews, Floyd and Coela Marsh, and Elizabeth Marsh, her great aunt, Tracey Fortune, her great uncle, Terry Summers and her cousin, Adrian Andrews.

 

Survivors include her mother, Shanda Marsh of Brooklet, GA; grandparents, Keith and Janice Marsh of Brooklet, GA; uncle, Brian and Megan Marsh of Brooklet, GA; great-grandparents, Jeanette McWhorter of Dothan, AL, Jerry and Sherry Hoole of Pinckard, AL, Cheryl Marsh of Lehigh Acres, FL and Reno and Carol Franks of Naples, FL; great aunts and uncles, Melissa and Bob Wall of Clanton, AL, Lori Summerlin of Haleburg, AL, Chris Marsh of Headland, AL, Kyle Marsh of Deatsville, AL, Judy Summers of Mauk, GA, Jerry and Marcia McWhorter of Dothan, AL, Billy and Charlotte Andrews of Midland City, AL, Burch and Sue Poole of Dothan, AL, Bill and Judy Roberts of Deatsville, AL, and an abundance of cousins and friends.

 

Pallbearers will be Brian Marsh, Adam McWhorter, Chris Marsh, Kyle Marsh, Jerry McWhorter and John Grantham.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be Dakota Dupriest, Cason Dupriest, Austin Grantham and Drake Miles.
