Sherman Hubert Andrews, 93, a resident of Dothan, passed away, Friday, July 21, 2023, at Southeast Health following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, July 24, 2023, at Glover Funeral Home with Reverend Scott Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Selma Baptist Church Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 pm on Monday prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.

Sherman was born on February 17, 1930, in Houston County to the late James Ebbie & Ethel Fennel Enfinger Andrews and lived all of his life in Houston County. He was employed with Winn Dixie for over 20 years prior to his retirement as manager. He later was employed as an insurance agent with Woodman of the World for several years. Sherman was a longtime member of Selma Baptist Church.

He is predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Shelton Andrews, and Robert Andrews.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, JoAnn Andrews of Dothan; four sisters, Dot Smith of Dothan, Mary Richardson of Dothan, Carol Thomas of Headland, and Carolyn Faulk (Ronnie) of Panama City, Florida; two step-children, Robin Lindsey of Dothan and David Amyx of Montgomery; several nieces and nephews also survive.
