Date of Service: A celebration of her life will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Smyrna Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Womack and Rev. Hosea Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:30-2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen For The Cure, www.komen.org, or Smyrna Baptist Church.

Shirley Patricia Ready, a lifelong resident of Webb, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at her residence. She was 80 years old.
Pat was born on July 17, 1941, to the late Furnie and Pauline Clayton Folkes in Webb, Alabama, and has lived there her entire life. She graduated from Columbia High School where she was a cheerleader and was Miss Columbia. Pat loved her family dearly and especially loved playing with her great-grandson. Pat’s faith was very near and dear to her heart, she loved her church, music, and singing. She was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church where she was in the choir and was a part of WMU-Women’s Ministry. Pat loved cooking and worked in the lunchroom at Highland’s Elementary School for many years
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Terry Ready, her brothers, Billy Folkes and W.C. Folkes, and her sisters Ann Folkes Adkins and Marjorie Folkes Woodham.
Survivors include her son, Todd (Angel) Ready; her two grandchildren, Casey Watson and Courtney (Logan) Rabon; her great-grandchild, Barron Rabon; her brother, Charles (Janice) Folkes; her sister, Jimmie Folkes Adkinson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
