MIDLAND CITY…Sigrid Gisela Gaines, a resident of Midland City, Alabama, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 4, 2021, at her home. She was 53.

            A private family funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Benny Cole officiating. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

            Ms. Gaines was born in Dale County, Alabama and lived her entire life there. She was a 1986 graduate of Dale County High School. She was a member of the Midland City Baptist Church.

            She was preceded in death by her father, Winston R. Gaines.

            Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughter Rindi Nicole Johnson of Midland City, AL; her son; Chas Jerome Johnson of Midland City, AL; her mother, Jane Besecker (Ted) of Dothan, AL; her sister, Ingrid L. Besecker Smith of Dothan; her half-brother, Rick Gaines; her grandchildren, Chasity Johnson, Tanner Johnson, and Noah Johnson; her nephew; Jade Smith (Briani) of Ft. Hood, TX; and nieces, Elishah Brown and Raven Brown of Dothan; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
