Sister O. Jean Cooper Wolfe, 86 of Enterprise passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was of the Apostolic Pentecostal faith. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at New Life Pentecostal Church with her Pastor, Rev. John Padgett, officiating. Singers will be NLPC praise team, with special songs sung by Bro. Greg Padgett, Sis. Kimberly Padgett, Bro. Caston Smith, and Sis. Alisa Smith.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery in Enterprise, Alabama with Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing. Serving as pallbearers are David Smith, Eddie Harrison, Jr., Eric Harrison, Jarrod Midyette, Daniel Padgett, and Nate Nimocks.  The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday beginning at 12:00 p.m. and continuing until the time of service. 

Sister Jean Cooper Wolfe was born March 13, 1936 to the late J.C. and Mary Helen Cooper in the Goodman community. She was a member of New Life Pentecostal Church where she went faithfully the last two years of her life. Sister Jean was a woman of great faith, and her life could be summed up through these words: faith, hope, and love.   

In her spare time she loved flower gardening, planting seeds and watching beautiful flowers grow, and playing the accordion, piano, organ, and guitar.  She received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in 1952, and shortly after that she was baptized in Jesus Name.  After having served the Lord a number of years, Sister Jean opened Lamb’s Jesus Name Chapel & Mission in the Fisherman’s Paradise (Apopka, FL) Community in 1995 where she fed the hungry and ministered to the needs of hundreds of troubled children, teenagers, and battered women.  She was responsible for many people being baptized in Jesus Name and receiving the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues. 

In addition to her mission work, Sister Jean owned and operated "Clean by Jean," a professional janitorial company where she maintained a number of contracts for some very influential people and companies throughout Central Florida. 

In 1964 Sister Jean almost lost her life in a head-on collision, which took the life of her then husband, J. Lowell Jones of Geneva, Alabama.  In 1971 she moved to Orlando, Florida and married Kenneth D. Wolfe, Sr. after the death of Mr. Jones.  In 2009 she was involved in a "t-bone" accident which again almost took her life.  Needless to say, the Lord preserved Sister Jean’s life on numerous occasions, and she lived her life for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Again, Sister Jean was a woman of great faith. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Kenneth D. (Danny) Wolfe, Sr.; four brothers, Gaston Cooper, Michael Cooper, Monte Cooper, Harold Cooper; one sister, Mary Frances Stephenson.  

She is survived by three children and one stepson whom she loved like her very own, Alisa Jan Smith (Mike) of Enterprise, Eddie Mac Harrison, Sr. (Freida) of Gastonia, North Carolina, Martha Jean Langley of Bradenton, Florida, and Kenneth “Kenny” D. Wolfe, Jr. (Shirley) of Ohio; eight grandchildren, J. Caston Smith (Misty) of Enterprise, David R. Smith (Yasha) of Enterprise, Michael Smith, Jr. (Holly) of Graceville, Florida, Eric Harrison (Kim) of Kentucky, Eddie Mac Harrison, Jr. of Kentucky, Lisa Harrison and Josh Harrison, both of Winter Garden, Florida, and Robert Langley (Angela) of Bradenton, FL; fifteen great-grandchildren, MariJane Smith, Annalisa Smith, Noah Adkison, Raven Adkison, Mary’hannah Smith, Felicity Smith, and Michael Smith, III, all of Graceville, FL; Harrison Langley of Bradenton, FL, Isabella, Easton, Elijah, and Abigail Harrison, and Kennedy, Karson, and Jackson Harrison; and many, many, special nieces.  The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Jeanette Shelton, RN and all the staff at Dayspring Hospice as well as our NLPC family for all the prayers and support during this difficult time.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to New Life Pentecostal Church, 3288 County Road 709, Enterprise, AL 36330.
