Stephanie LaTonia Weatherington Gadlin, a resident of Kinsey, departed her life on February 18, 2021. She was 38 years old.


A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Fredrick Danzie officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 4p.m. to 6 p.m.


Stephanie was born June 17, 1982 in Houston County to John Moses Weatherington Jr. and Lisa Weatherington. Stephanie attended grade school at Webb Elementary School, and she attended high school at Columbia High School where she graduated in 1998. She worked at Southeast Medical Center as a Patient Care Assistant. Later, Stephanie moved to Aurora Colorado, where she met the love of her life. While she lived in Colorado she worked as a CNA. She moved back home in 2011. Stephanie was united in marriage to Jamahl D. Gadlin, and out of this union of love blossomed four handsome young boys. Stephanie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.


Stephanie was preceded in death by her father, John Moses Weatherington Jr.



She left to cherish her memories a devoted husband, Jamahl D. Gadlin of Aurora, Colorado; her mother, Lisa Weatherington of Dothan; her four sons, Ty’Daruis LaTrel Gadlin, Ja’Myus Demone Gadlin, Na’Kevius Gadlin, Mal-Quez Gadlin, and Za’Karrus Zy’Ier Gadlin all of Dothan; one sister, Resheda Jackson of Dothan; her mother-in-law, Sonya (William) Morgan of Aurora, Colorado; two sisters-in-law, Prinshel Winston of Dothan and Roberta Winston of Sanford, Alabama; one brother-in-law, Terrance Winster of Oklahoma; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
