Stephen Alan Spear of Geneva, AL passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, in a Dothan hospital. He was 68 years old. There are no services planned at this time.

Steve was born in Samson, AL on December 29, 1954, to Gordon and Foy Helms Spear. Steve graduated from Samson High School in 1972. His senior years he served as president of the FFA and student council. After high school he attended McArthur Technical College in Opp, AL where he studied electronics. He later graduated from McArthur with a degree in drafting and designs.

Steve is preceded in death by his father, Gordon Spear; and one sister, Gail Spear Harper.

Steve is survived by his son, Stephen Jarrod Spear of Samson, AL; mother, Foy Helms Spear of Samson, AL; brother, Mark Spear (Lisa) of Geneva, AL; two nieces, Heather Byrd (Will) of Prattville, AL and Macy Roney (Kyle) of Geneva, AL; two nephews, Casey Spear of Geneva, AL and Tyler Harper of Tallahassee, FL; many friends and relatives.
