Steve Kinghorn, a resident of Taylor, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness. He was 71.


Steve was born August 10, 1948, in Beaumont, Texas to Talman Harbor and Kristine Kovach Kinghorn. He spent his childhood in various places throughout the world during his father’s working career.


Steve was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Army. He later graduated from LSU where he received his degree in journalism and was the editor of the LSU Reveille newspaper. He was employed as a healthcare marketing consultant for many years.


Steve lived in New Orleans for over 30 years. In 2005, following Katrina, he and his wife relocated to Dothan.


Steve is predeceased by his parents.


Survivors include his wife, Georgia Valenza of Taylor; a son, Austin Alexander Kinghorn (Desire) of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Christine and Victoria Kinghorn of Austin, Texas; a sister, Diane Kinghorn of Bradenton, Florida.
