Steven Barry Aplin of Samson, AL passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 in a Dothan Hospital. He was 73 years old.

A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Aplin was born in Walton County, FL on July 16, 1947 to the late Thomas Steiner and Virginia Williams Aplin. Steve loved his family very much. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed fishing, watching westerns and drinking coffee with his buddies at the Big Little Store in Samson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger Aplin, Stan Aplin, and Joseph Wayne Aplin.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Joy Barnes Aplin of Samson, AL; three sons,  Steven Scott Aplin of Enterprise, AL, Steven Colt Aplin (Amber) of Samson, AL, and Spencer Barry Aplin (Samantha) of Enterprise, AL; step daughter, Jennifer Hutto of Enterprise, AL; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; six siblings, Martha Sullivan (Charles), Barbara Smythe (Corky), Nina Kilpatrick (Roger), Terrell Aplin (Carol), Brenda McCollough (Donald), and Darrell Aplin (ReGina); step-mother, JoAnn Aplin; and many nieces and nephews.
