Sue Carol Honeycutt of Daleville, AL passed away, Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Flowers Hospital.  She was 83.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Daleville Chapel with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY, 10306 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. 

Sue’s sense of humor and unique ability of expression endeared her to all.  Her overwhelming love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was evident in her daily life.  Laughter and fellowship were paramount, and all she met were influenced by her vibrant personality.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband “Papa” Chuck, a grandson Dakota Reynolds, four brothers Paul, Tommy, Jimmy and Bill, a sister Martha, step-daughter Carol Honeycutt Danford and a step-son John Honeycutt.  

Survivors include her two daughters, Gina Lindsey (Mike), Boaz, AL; Susie Garretson, Daleville, AL; son, Chip Garretson, San Antonio, TX; step-son, Chuck Honeycutt, Jr. (Daleville, AL); four grandchildren, Amanda (John), Tyler (Pam), Jeremy and Chantal; two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Grant; two brothers, Joe and Gibby; three sisters, Charlotte, Phyllis and Tiny; son-in-law, Dan Danford.
