TROY...Sue Lipscomb Williams, a resident of Troy, Alabama, died Tuesday morning, July 24, 2018, in a Dothan hospital. She was 66.

  A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.

  Sue Williams was born January 31, 1952 in Ft. Gaines, Georgia and was reared in the Screamer Community of Henry County. She was a graduate of Abbeville High School and served her country in the Army National Guard. Sue was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Edward Lipscomb, her mother, Betty Jean Williams Hardwick, her husband, Bart E. Williams, a sister, Patsy Lipscomb and a brother, Charles Lipscomb.

  Surviving relatives include her son, Shane Smith (Tammy Killingsworth), Troy; her step-father, Russell Hardwick, Abbeville; three grandchildren, McKinnley Smith, Jayce Smith and Hunter Smith; two sisters, Annie Jean Fenn and Barbara Swain, both of Headland; two brothers, Edward Lipscomb, Headland; and Jesse L. Lipscomb, Abbeville.
