Sue Peterson Fessel, 76, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 30, 2019.

Susie Q, as she was affectionately known, was born one of five children to James and Tommie Peterson of Ashford. She spent many years in Dothan where she was involved in the community and served as past president of the Altrusa Club. She lived in Lake Wales, Florida with her husband of seven years, Thomas Fessel. Sue and her “sweet, sweet Tommy” enjoyed going on cruises, dancing to the music of their favorite band and taking day trips in the convertible.

Sue’s sweet nature and contagious laughter will be terribly missed by her husband, Tom of Lake Wales, FL; two daughters, Donna Hendrix of Panama City Beach and Keely Robinette (Chris) of Bradenton, FL; four grandchildren, Brad Hendrix of Ft. Myers, FL, Brooke Hendrix of Ft, Myers, FL, Anna Grace Robinette of Bradenton, FL and Jake Robinette of Bradenton, FL; one great granddaughter, Johnnie Rae Hendrix of Ft. Myers, FL; one brother and three sisters; and her lifelong best friend, Nellie Elia of Dothan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m.  with the Rev. Earl Clark officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing.  The family will have a private graveside service. That evening the entire nation will celebrate Sue’s life with a fireworks display.
