 Mrs. Sue Ward Pridgen of Madrid, Alabama and formerly of Samson, Alabama


went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 13, 2022 to celebrate her 78th birthday.


  


Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in the Ganer community with Rev. David Anderson officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 am.


 The family asked that flowers be omitted, and memorial contributions be made to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.


 Sue was born February 13, 1944 in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Waylon, Sr. and Evelyn Pinkerton Ward. She retired as an accountant after working with Bryson Implement Co. in Samson for a number of years. Prior to that, she was employed with Cox and Faulk Accounting Firm in Geneva. She was known for a very strong work ethic and enjoyed her job. Sue adored children and pets. She was member of Logos Baptist Church in Dothan, Alabama.


 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Pridgen and her brother, Waylon Ward, Jr.


 Sue is survived by one nephew, Chad Ward (Amber) of Madrid, AL; great nephew, Gavin Ward and great niece, Kendra Ward, both of Madrid, AL; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Pridgen and Jeanette Willingham, both of Samson, AL.
