Susan “Phyllis” Lindsey, age 83, passed away early Monday, March 26, 2018, at Henry County Health & Rehab in Abbeville, AL. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Rich officiating.  Burial will follow in Haleburg Cemetery in Haleburg, AL with Kendall Glover directing. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in Glover Funeral Home Chapel.

She was born February 2, 1935, in Henry County a daughter of the late Henry Sylvestor Lindsey and Beunah Vista Money Lindsey.  She was a 1953 graduate of Newville High School and also a graduate of Howard College in Birmingham and of Massey Draughn Business School in Montgomery.  She worked as a registered nurse at New Orleans Medical Center and was a nursing supervisor at Southern Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans, LA. 

She loved classical music, opera, needlepointing, gardening, shopping and helping others by volunteer work.  She was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Dothan, AL. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Lindsey, Sr.

She is survived by a brother John Fred (Zeke) Lindsey, Abbeville, AL; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
