DOTHAN. . .Suzanna Layton Cassady, a resident of Dothan, died Monday afternoon, January 8, 2024, in a Dothan hospital. She was 58.

            A private graveside service for the family was held in Gardens of Memory with Reverend George Bryan officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations was in charge of arrangements.

            Suzanna Cassady was born and reared in the Ashford area, daughter of the late Harry Truman Layton and Annette Cook Layton. She lived in Houton County and the Dothan area most of her adult lifetime. Suzanna was of the Baptist faith.

            Surviving relatives include her husband, Bruce Cassady; three daughters, Jenni Cassady, Shelby Cassady, who was Suzanna’s caregiver, and Shea Cassady, all of Dothan; four sons, Butch Cassady (Millie), Dothan; Chris Cassady, Dothan; and Clay Cassady (Jazmin), Napier Field; and Colby Cassady, Florida; grandchildren, Kendra Suzanne Cassady, Braylan Cassady, Olivia Layton Cassady, Carly Suzanna Eldridge and Allie Fury, Maya and London and Colton and Ava Leigh.
