Sylvia Woodham Graves, a resident of Dothan, AL passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Wesley Place on Honeysuckle. She was 86.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Grandview Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Grimes officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 – 2:00 pm.
Sylvia was born on May 19, 1935 in Dale County, AL and was a graduate of Dale County High School. She later moved to Dothan and was an operating room nurse at Southeast Alabama Medical Center for over 25 years. Sylvia loved the Lord and her family. She enjoyed reading Christian books.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Woodham and Mary Frances Gassett Woodham; her son, David Mitchell Graves; and her siblings, Marion Woodham and Harriet McDermott.
Survivors include her children, Joseph Woodham (Vanessa) Graves and Ruth Marie Graves; her grandchildren, Ashley, Brandy, Amber and Owen; a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
