T.D. West of Geneva, AL passed away at his home on Saturday, June 3, 2023. He was 94 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.

T.D. was born on January 27, 1929 to the late Henry Thurman and Pearly Burkett West. In addition to his parents, Mr. West is preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Lola Merle Roney West; and his daughter, Maria West.

He is survived by his son, Tim West of Pensacola, FL; one granddaughter, Lexi West of Pensacola, FL; and one sister, Jean Ramer of Opp, AL.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Cathryn Jones for her loving and devoted care that she provided to both Mr. T.D. and Mrs. Lola. She will always hold a special place in the family’s heart.

Tim would also like to thank Barber Gonzalez for her help as well, Jack Bradley for the countless meals he prepared for them both, to the staff of the Porky Barn, all the neighbors on Wilson Street, and the great community of Geneva, AL that he is proud to call his hometown!

I take comfort in knowing my father joins my mother and sister in Glory! See you one day. Your son, Tim West and Lexi West.
