Teresa Annette Melvin

Teresa Annette Melvin, a resident of Newville, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. She was 57.

A Celebration of her life will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, February 26, 2022 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Goldsmith officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 pm-3:30 pm before services.

Teresa was born on November 6, 1964 in Dothan, AL and lived her early years in Midland City, Alabama where she attended Dale County School. She was employed with The Dothan Eagle and later worked at Globe Motors. She was also employed with Nypro. Teresa was a homemaker who enjoyed watching crime shows. She loved keeping up with friends and family on Facebook and looking at the memories they were making.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Junior and Rosa Lee Hitson Smith; and her husband, George “Donny” Melvin.

Survivors include her children, Justin Melvin, Ashley (Andrew) Cooley and Kristy (Matthew) Chinn; her grandchildren, Damion Everheart and Natalie Williamson; her brothers, Jimmy Smith, Johnny (Jessica) Smith and Billy (Judi) Smith; her sister, Rose Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
