COLUMBIA….Teresa Lee Smith, a resident of the Haleburg Community of Henry County, Alabama, near Columbia, passed away Friday evening, March 5, 2021, at her daughters home. She was 64.


            Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Shorterville Baptist Church Cemetery, with Brother Ray Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.


            In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made in honor of Teresa, to the Overflowing Ministries; 532 Ozark Road, Abbeville, Alabama 36345.


            Mrs. Smith was born in Bonifay, Florida to the late Sam Hutto and Bessie Lee Norton Hutto. She was a graduate of Abbeville High School and attended Wallace Community College. She worked with West Point Stevens in Abbeville, Alabama and Russell Clothing in Columbia, Alabama as a seamstress.


            Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Hutto.


            Leaving to cherish her memories are her husband, Robert Smith; her daughter, Melissa Berglund (David) of the Camp Springs Community; her son, Ashley Smith (Andrea) of Shorterville, AL; her brothers, Aaron Hutto, Leon Hutto; her grandchildren, Logan Adams, Braelyn Berglund, Gini Norton, Brandon Smith, and Paul Smith; several nieces and nephews.
