SHORTERVILLE. . .Teresa Lynn Simpson Dykes, a resident of Shorterville, died Monday, December 26 2022, at her home. She was 50.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. (EST), Saturday, December 31, 2022, in the Bethel Baptist Church, between Ft. Gaines and Blakely. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday in the church sanctuary.  Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

Teresa was born in Donalsonville, Georgia and was raised in Clay County, Georgia. She was a graduate of  Early County High School in Blakely. Teresa was formerly employed by the Blakely Methodist Church as secretary. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Don Naramore.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Logan Dykes (Dakota), Tallahassee, FL;  a son, Preston Dykes (Jennifer), Bainbridge, GA; her mother, Miriam Greene Naramore, Shorterville; a brother, Ricky Simpson (Lisa), Shorterville; a niece, Samantha Cowart, two nephews, Johnathan Simpson and Thomas Simpson.
