Thelma Condrey Ansbach, age 75 of Headland (Tumbleton Community) went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday June 14, 2019, surrounded by her family.


Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2019, at Judson Baptist Church with Pastor Brandon Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Family First Funeral & Cremation Care directing. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time.


Mrs. Thelma was born in Ariton to the late Alvie Thomas Condrey and Mattie Lou Vinie Condrey and was raised in the Dothan area before moving to Henry County over 45 years ago. She was a member of Judson Baptist Church. Mrs. Thelma was a long-time employee of the West Point Pepperell.


She was also preceded in death by her two sons Norman Shane Yeomans and Billy Thomas Yeomans; three brothers, Ray Condrey, Gene Condrey and Norman Condrey; two sisters, Dorothy Marshall and Joyce Condrey.


Mrs. Thelma is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, James “Jim” Ansbach, of Headland (Tumbleton Community); a daughter-in-law; Cindy Watford Yeomans, of Abbeville (Screamer Community);  a very special niece, Sheila (Jerry) Quinn; two granddaughters, Tonyia Conner and Kristy Rhodes; and seven great-grandchildren, Jayci, Brianna, Kaden, Kaylynn Lillian, Mareya and Makai also survive.


Asked to serve as active pallbearers will be Wesley Watford, Timmy Watford, Donnie Watford, Bob Tabor, Bob Watford and Kaden Conner. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Ross, James Harrison, Johnny Watford, Marley Watford, Bobby Cobb, Phil Koerber and Lamar Turner.


The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to Judson Baptist Church Benevolence Fund or Kindred Hospice.
