Thomas Dewain Scott of Westville, Florida passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023. He was 80 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva. Burial will follow in the Smith Chapel Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Scott was born on October 28,1942 in Holmes County, FL to the late Thomas Cheston Scott and Mathel Viola Kirkland. Mr. Scott worked and retired from Reliable Metal Products as a skilled machinist after 52 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed fishing, planting and working in his fields, and in the fall of the year, making cane syrup to go with his homemade biscuits. Mr. Scott was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Evan Scott Seay; three sisters, Maxine Pickron, Mary Ingalls, and Frankie Charles Stafford.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Scott of Westville, FL, three daughters, Kim Seay (Scott) of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Melissa Vann (Michael) of Westville, FL and Melinda Ayres (Scott) of Hartford, AL; five grandchildren, Ally Roney (Drew), Mallory Vann, Molly Vann, Jonathan Ayres, Charlotte Ayres, and Maddie Ayres; three great-grandchildren, Aden Seay, Thomas Roney and Sophia Roney; one sister, Judy Crews of Gritney, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
